1 Garuda Wisnu Kencana - Cultural Park
The statue of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana is located at Bukit Jimbaran, Bali-Unggasan. This statue is the work of sculptor famous for Bali, I Nyoman Nuarta. The monument was developed as a park of culture and became an icon of tourism in Bali and Indonesia.
The sculpture takes the form of Lord Vishnu, who is the God of the Hindu Preserver (Sthiti), riding on Garuda. Garuda
figures can be seen in the story of Garuda & his tells the story of
an act of devotion and sacrifice of Garuda to save her mother from
slavery was finally protected by Lord Vishnu.
This
statue is projected to tie up the space with visibility up to 20 miles
so it can be seen from Kuta, Sanur, Nusa Dua and Tanah Lot. The statue of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana is a symbol of the environmental rescue mission and the world. The statue is made of a mixture of copper and steel that weigh 4,000 tons, with a height of 75 metres and a width of 60 meters. If finished, it will be the largest sculpture in the world and beat the statue of Liberty.
The Garuda Wisnu Kencana
Cultural Park (United Kingdom: the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park),
abbreviated to GWK () is a park in the southern part of the island of
Bali. This Park is located in tanjung Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, about 40 kilometers south of Denpasar, capital of Bali province. In
this cultural garden area, planned to be established a landmark or
mascot of Bali, the giant statue of Lord Vishnu who is riding on Garuda,
tunggangannya, as high as 12 metres.[1]
Area
of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park is located at an altitude of
146 metres above ground level or 263 meters above sea level.[1]
In
the area there is also a statue of Garuda is right behind the Plaza of
Vishnu is Garuda Plaza where the statue of 18 meters tall Garuda
temporarily. At the moment, Garuda Plaza became
the focal point of a tunnel carved pillars of limestone that covers more
than 4,000 square metres of spacious open space i.e. Lotus Pond. Limestone pillars and colossal statues, monumental Lotus Pond Garuda made a very exotic spaces. With
a capacity of a room that can hold up to 7,000 people, Lotus Pond has
gained a good reputation as the perfect place to hold a big event.
There is also a statue of Vishnu's hand which is part of the statue of the God Vishnu. This is one step closer to complete the statue of Garuda Wisnu Kencana. This paper is placed while in the Water.

Recreation at GWK
GWK has a number of recreational areas include:
Vishnu Plaza
Vishnu
is the highest ground in the area where the place while we GWK is the
most important part of the statue of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue of
Vishnu.
At
certain times of the day, there will be some traditional Balinese
performance with the magnificent statue of Vishnu as a backdrop. Due to its location, you can see a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. A
statue of Vishnu, as a central point of Vishnu Plaza, surrounded by
fountains and water wells in the nearby shrine which is said never to
dry even during the dry season.
Parahyangan Somaka Giri is placed next to the statue of Vishnu. This
is where the water is, which historically have been trusted by the
people in the area as a blessing with a powerful magical powers to cure
his illness and ask the gods to rain during the dry season. Due
to its location on the high ground (at the top of the Hill), the
phenomenon of this nature is considered to be a holy man and locally it
is believed it to be holy water.
Street Theater
Street Theater is the starting point and the end of a visit to the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park. Here we can find many shops and restaurants in one place and where all the celebration going on.

On
several times a day, we can enjoy the shopping and dining while
accompanied by the performance of Bali in particular such as barong,
rindik and parade.
Lotus Pond
Lotus Pond is the largest outdoor area at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) and Garden culture, most likely, in Bali. Thus, the Lotus Pond is a great place and just to hold a large scale outdoor event.
Over
the years, GWK was believed to held a large scale, both national and
international, events at Lotus Pond such as music concerts,
international meetings, great party. Lotus Pond is a unique place with limestone pillars and statues on either side of the magnificent Lions in the background.
Lotus Pond Lotus begins. The Lotus is the main symbol of beauty, prosperity and fertility. Vishnu is also always carry a Lotus in her hand and almost all gods of the Hindu gods that sit in a Lotus or some flowers.
Some
interesting facts is that Lotus plants growing in water, has its roots
in the mud or ilus, and spread the flower in the air above. Thus, the Lotus symbolises human life as well as that of the cosmos.
Lotus root deep in the mud is the life of the material. Stalk skip through the water symbolizes the astral world in existence. Flowers floating on the water and open to the sky is emblematical of spiritual being.
Indraloka Garden
The Park is named after Indra Indraloka Heaven because the point of view of a beautiful panorama. Indraloka
Garden is one of my most favorite places in the Garuda Wisnu Kencana to
convene a small party medium, collection and wedding ceremonies. We can see the views of Bali from the Indraloka Garden.
Amphitheatre
Amphitheatre is a place outdoors for a special acoustic performance with well designed. Every afternoon You can watch the famous Kecak dance and free i.e. at about 06.30 pm until 7.30 pm. Even the Kecak dance may dikolaborasikan dance with other areas.
Tirta Agung
Tirta Agung is the perfect outdoor space for medium-sized events. You can also visit the statue of Vishnu's Hands, part of the statue of the Garuda Wisnu Kencana, located nearby.
